What are Psilocybin Mushrooms/Truffles and What are the Effects?

Psilocybin, a psychoactive compound found in fungi, includes mushrooms above ground and truffles underground. Effects typically arise within an hour of ingestion, affecting consciousness, perception, mood, and thought. Research suggests lasting benefits such as enhanced wellbeing, visual cortex activity, creativity, and empathy. Psilocybin experiences can evoke stored emotions, memories, insights, and a range of feelings, from euphoria to sadness. Psilocybin is not known to be addictive.

What is a Psilocybin Mushrooms/Truffles “Ceremony?”

We honor indigenous traditions for their ceremonial use of psychedelics, recognizing their ability to inspire profound personal transformation in community settings. Our retreats prioritize ceremonial experiences over recreation, providing a safe and supportive space for journeying together. Led by our expert team, ceremonies last approximately 6 hours and include dosing, sound-guided journeys, and personalized attention.

I’m New to Mushrooms/Truffles, Meditation and Yoga. Is This For Me?

We cater to diverse participant needs, serving individuals at all stages of their journeys with psychedelics. From beginners to professionals in the psychedelics industry, our retreats support everyone. We offer optional silent meditations, daily facilitated meditations, and yoga practices to awaken the body and inspire mindfulness.

Are Your Programs Religious or Spiritual?

We integrate spiritual traditions like meditation, yoga, and ceremony into our programming without favoring any specific religion or tradition. We believe all traditions offer valuable insights and teachings. Our practices are presented as optional experiences—try them out and see what resonates with you. Your personal experience is what matters most, and we don't expect you to believe anything except what you discover for yourself.

What are the Dangers of Mushrooms/Truffles?

In clinical studies, psilocybin has shown high benefits with low risks and is generally well tolerated (confirmed by outcomes from our programs). Physical side effects may include nausea, vomiting, disorientation, and headaches. The main psychological risk is periods of distress, which our preparation program and on-site support aim to mitigate. While rare, longer-lasting adverse psychological effects are possible. We advise reviewing research and consulting with your medical support system before considering psilocybin use.

What Do I Need to Know Before I Apply?

Our application/screening form, developed with input from medical professionals, is the initial step in our process. It helps us identify conditions or contraindications that may affect your safe participation or group harmony. Once reviewed, you'll receive notification within 3-5 business days.

Our programs cater to those seeking personal transformation, deeper connections, improved relationships, exploration of mystical realms, and enhanced creativity. However, certain psychiatric, physical, or medical conditions may prevent safe participation. Please review the full list of considerations here.

Please note: We don't make medical claims about our retreats or offer diagnoses or treatments. While our screening process prioritizes safety, we may advise against participation if deemed necessary for your well-being and that of others.

Are Airfare and Transportation Included?

Airfare is not included. We will provide round-trip transportation from and to the nearest international airport on program arrival and departure days. Our program participants are also welcomed to arrange their own travel to accommodate their specific pre/post travel plans.

Are Your Retreats Safe?

Safety is our utmost priority. We believe that by elevating safety standards, we can broaden access to those in need. Our focus on safety encompasses:

1. Physical Safety: Our retreat locations are secure, with easy access to medical care if necessary. We meticulously source and test our mushrooms/truffles from trusted suppliers.

2. Psychological Safety: Education, preparation, intention-setting, and proper integration are essential for your psychological well-being. We prioritize your emotional health before, during, and after the retreat, ensuring a sense of safety and comfort throughout.

Are There Any Age Restrictions?

Participants must be at least 21 years old. Before applying, please review the FAQ section titled "What Do I Need to Know Before Applying?" Please be aware of the general risk of falls and injuries due to psilocybin's mind-altering effects. These risks may be heightened by age-related medical conditions such as arthritis or osteoporosis. Psilocybin can cause transient feelings of dissociation, impaired perception, attention, mood changes, and anxiety. If you have balance issues, physical weakness, impaired vision, or any concerns, seek advice from a medical professional before participating.

Can I Stay Before or After the Program at the Location or Nearby? Can I Come Late or Leave Early?

Depending on availability, you may extend your stay at the retreat center before or after the scheduled dates. We recommend arriving early and staying a few extra days for a seamless transition in and out of the retreat. If the retreat center is fully booked, we can suggest nearby accommodations to extend your trip.

For your safety and the best experience, please plan to attend the entire retreat, arriving on time and staying through departure. Our agenda includes opening and closing circles, and it's important for all participants to be present for both.

What Is Your Refund Policy?

Prior to 60 days of the program start date, our programs are refundable minus a non-refundable $1,500 deposit, which can be applied to a future program within 12 months of cancellation date. Within 60 days of the program start date, our programs are non-refundable.
